Spark is Britain’s first true storytelling club. Welcoming true stories in a friendly open-mic style atmosphere every other 1st Wednesday of the month. Sit back and listen, or sign up on the night to tell your own story!

The theme of our April storytelling night is... Rebellion!

Fighting back. Sticking it to The Man. Destroying the Death Star. From small acts of defiance to rising up against the yoke of an oppressive regime, rebellion can be many things. If you've ever decided you're bloody well not going to take it any more and taken a stand, this night is for you. Bring us your stories of petty revolt, mild sedition and outright civil disobedience. Extra points if it involves the Millennium Falcon.

At Spark’s open-mic nights there are just three rules: your story has to be true, it has to have happened to you (not someone else) and it should be around 5 minutes long. We welcome storytellers of all abilities, from practised performers to nervous first-timers. Storytellers can sign up in advance or on the night.
